The technician spent about ten to fifteen minutes looking at the washer, then came out of the room and told me I needed to have two parts replaced for a total that would be over $600. I asked if he was certain he found the root causes and solutions. He didn’t hesitate to say yes, but didn’t explain anything of why these parts were the causes of the problems to assure me of his assessment. He said the reason for the high cost was that “we only use OEM parts,” but when I later looked up the cost of the 2 parts mentioned, they were each ~$50. He said I would receive a quote for this work for me to consider for the next 30 days, and I’ve yet to see it 3 days later.
