The technician was fine. My issue was that the time window was missed by 2 hours; ASI asked Deann to help another technician and neither ASPI noir the technician. called to announce the delay.

Our brand new $2,600 Whirlpool icemaker stopped working after only two months. ASI was was dispatched by Whirlpool to diagnose and repair it under warranty. Apparently, a factory warranty rep entered an erroneous purchase date, and ASI declined to honor the warranty until they had received a factory authorization code from Whirlpool - even though we provided copies of the purchase receipt and warranty registration confirmation. I ended up spending many, many hours sending and receiving emails, calling the factory warranty center and Whirlpool's corporate office, and corresponding with ASI's office administrator, Dawn (who did a fantastic job). Louis, ASI's technician, also did a great job of resolving the issue with the icemaker in person. He was friendly and professional. Our disappointment was with ASI's policy of requiring an authorization from Whirlpool - even though they had proof that the unit was under warranty.
