About Our Beginning
The A.S.I. Story
In 2001, the Whirlpool Corporation elected to utilize distributors and appliance service providers to source-out service to their customers. Allen Louis had over 23 years of experience and trained certifications through the Whirlpool family of companies. The next logical step for Allen was to start his own business and strive to become the premiere service provider in the Houston and surrounding area for Whirlpool, Jenn-Air, Maytag, and KitchenAid.
In July 2001, Allen, his daughter Tracie and two trained service technicians started the company, while Allen’s wife Debbie continued to work full-time. Tracie brainstormed the acronym ASI, which stands for Allen Services Incorporated.
This was a turning point for Allen as he was granted a contract to work for Whirlpool Corporation as a contractor. The company began to flourish from a one-person office with two technicians to a five-person office and ten technicians. Soon after his wife, Debbie, decided to join the ASI team. Today, the team at ASI consists over 425 years of combined experience with 30 Whirlpool Factory Certified Care Specialists, an eight-person office staff as well as Allen and Debbie in the lead.
Allen not only worked with Whirlpool Corporation for over 23 years; Whirlpool is currently one of his major clients. Technicians are trained by the manufacturer regularly to stay current on new equipment and technology and to maintain their certifications. Allen participates in Whirlpool Distributor meetings to stay up-to-date in new technology as well as future products, himself.
ASI specializes in service on appliances, washers, dryers and refrigerators manufactured by the largest manufacturer in the world, the Whirlpool family.
