"The unit is functioning as designed. Regarding the need to press the ram button twice before the drawer can be opened, this is due to the compress switch being activated. The 'Hold' feature on the Jenn-Air trash compactor keeps the ram in the down position for an extended period, allowing for further compression by preventing the trash from expanding back up immediately. This is a normal function of the unit.The second concern raised by the customer was that the drawer felt rough when sliding. Upon further inspection, there were no issues with the drawer slides, rollers, or any obstructions affecting movement. The drawer is operating as designed."
