Checked unit for leaks using a leak detecteo meter and none found. Customer also advised only smells gas while the oven is preheating then periodiocly through the cooking cycle. Advised customer how a gas oven works and demonstrated. Unit checks ok and is operating as designed. Also advised to use vent fan on low on MW vent hoood. Documented with Lisa at Whirlpool Safety and issued SR# 7740547808
