"After replacing the pumpandmotor assembly and installing a new control board, I ran a full diagnostics cycle and confirmed the dishwashers electrical and mechanical systemsincluding the drain pumpare operating correctly. However, I observed that two drain hoses have been spliced together making the line too long with excessive sharp bends and loops, creating backpressure that prevents proper drainage. Because the drain pump is fully functional, this is no longer an appliance issue but a plumbing one: the redundant hose and tight bends are slowing the flow and allowing water to backflow into the tub. I recommend removing the extra hose, installing a single continuous drain line per Whirlpools specifications with a proper highloop (or airgap) secured under the countertop, and ensuring gentle curves throughout. This will restore full drain performance and eliminate the backflow."
