"First time customer used range oven after buying the house. No vent hood over range and no down draft. Checked all operations of range, top burners are correct. Oven operations are correct in regular bake and convection bake, broil is correct. No smoke from unit. Suspect cleaning chemicals in oven from previous owner smoked. Customer was advised by me not to use range without a vent hood. Customer calling house inspector or previous owner to pay for installation of a vent hood. This is not Whirpools issue. Common knowledge that you need a vent hood. Previous owner should have advised of cleaning chemicals used to clean unit. Only issue with range is oven bulb is out. Customer to replace bulb"
