Trying to make customer understand this is the challenge. Informed tech support of this revelation and they agreed that this could cause valve to stick and hard to turn ON/OffIf customer would just remove that issue would resolve itself

Called customer to provide time window. Per customer makes ice and water just fine without the filterAdvised that the issue would be in the filter itself and that if she would like further repairs I could provide a quote for her. She will try and purchase new filter. NOTE: This fridge is an OOW unit and she claims it was working just fine from previous address. If filter does not resolve her issue it could potentially be the filter housing. Will require a quote for part and labor if customer chooses to go that route.
